Friends of Health on the Northern Mendocino Coast (FOH) presented an all day forum with ten panelists who represent the experts that we all need to be prepared for a smooth transition from full on life to preparing to die. The focus is on making it easier to know the responsibilities and legalities associated with aging. It was partially funded by The Bishoff Committee of the Community Foundation of Mendocino. 

We are grateful to the following panelists who gave the entire day to help us know our rights as well pitfalls associated with aging. 

• Maggie Watson, Fiduciary

• Debra DeCarli, Estate attorney

• Teresa Baumeister, Adult Protective Services social worker (Retired)

• Susan Quinn, MSW, private patient navigator, located in Gualala (available to north coast)

• Helen Jacobs, a program manager at the Redwood Coast Senior Center

• Anya Jindrich, Director of Cancer Resource Centers

• Robin Serrahn, MD, medical director for coast hospice

• Mark Apfel, MD, physician and prescriber for end of life and palliative care at Anderson Valley Medical Services 

• Seth Ferguson, Funeral Director at Chapel by the Sea

• Kathryn Allegra, facilitator of the weekly grief group (for all kinds of loss)
