Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a festive, joyous occasion for remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed. Friends of Hospice sponsors a month-long celebration with three events.

Oct. 1 - Nov. 2:  Altar Walk

Stroll downtown businesses where altars are on display. Maps are available at the Chamber of Commerce and participating businesses. 

 
 

Memory Box Classes: drop in, spend a half hour or more making a memory.

We'll supply the boxes, tools, and craft supplies. You bring photographs, typed words or phrases, or other pieces which meaningfully connects you with your loved one. $10 suggested donation. Classes will be held at Interior, 224 E. Redwood Ave.

Oct. 5:   4:30-7:00  (First Friday)
Oct. 13:  1:00-5:00  (Saturday)

 
 

Altar Hall

A collection of personal altars from the community are displayed at the Fort Bragg Library's multipurpose room.
